Simplifications/Changes to Create software more suitable for Basic English.

Delete all other languages, will be only English to Basic.
Delete non-Roman letter feature. (it also gets in the way of paste.)
Smaller display size (hides too much desktop)
Allow paste of words from word processor.
Add CNTL P for paste.
Add Home (or other) key to clear text, position cursor, be ready for new word.
Keep color for sought-word ready (entry is empty).
Keep great options of "exectly" and "containing."
Keep Cntl C for copy.
Add click on definition to automatically copy.
When no word is found in dictionary:
Display empty definition with bgcolor and beep.
Options:
Automatically switch to and display "find containing".
Display word(s) before, blank and after (leaving word sought in colored background)
Option to turn sound on and off.
Add ability to scroll up and down database from a (not) found word.
Assure space between word and definition. Insert always or if none there.

Common misspelling:
Code in dictionary for bgcolor and sound.
Code in program to display bgcolor.
Display preferred word/definitions
(or embed message and duplicate text in dictionary)
Dialect Handling.
This may reinstall multiple language options/dictionaries.
Might be simplest to handle this by letting the user customize his dictionary from various downloads : common words plus dialect words.
Phonetic Spelling (Spell Check) suggests words for search.
Multiple Languages to Basic
This would entail a major effort to create a new dictionary, not just a dialect of standard English. Therefore a copy of the BE Companion may be created that is customized, for example, German to Basic. This might be simpler and more efficient than putting multiple language capability into everybody's program.
