Project 320. Translastion Thesaurus for Open Office.

    Discussion : We have a spell checking download that works with OpenOffice.org. We have a 47,000 word dictionary that uses the thesaurus feature to translate from English to Basic. It is Beta. The member who did the Beta said it was not hard, but then his e-mail disappeared. The project is to integrate Basic English into the mainstream OOo software. They use Unix and C++ extensively. Or attempts to do this via Windows has failed. OOo has extensive online helps and are welcoming to "localizations."
    There is U.S. Department of Education interest in this project with possible foundation grants.

      OpenOffice.org Portable is the complete OpenOffice.org office suite packaged as a portable application. It can be run entirely from a removable drive (iPod, USB flash drive, CD, etc) with no installation.
      We have not tried this, but it sounds useful and has a high rating by SourceForge.
